Orthopaedic Surgeon

Fernando A. Moya, M.D., Ph.D., is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon. He specializes in complex injuries of the knee and shoulder joint and has treated many athletes in South Florida. He completed his doctoral fellowship at Harvard University, receiving his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.) He completed his orthopaedic training at the University of Puerto Rico, and has a master’s and doctoral degree in pharmacology from The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. His interests include playing sports, spending time with his family and participating in school and local charity events. He is currently the team physician for the Pembroke Pines Charter High School Football team, and is actively involved in community seminars and educational programs designed to help people understand joint pain, sports injuries and complex knee and shoulder injuries. He is currently a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
